Hello Sweden!

Join us this Saturday for an online opening of a group show in Sweden, just a tiny bit east of Stockholm! Gustavsbergs Konstall is ready to welcome you to the exhibition Earth, Wind, Fire, Water – Nordic Contemporary Crafts! We can journey to the opening in covid- style (only), so tune in to @gustavsbergskonsthall in instagram on 6 February 2PM CET for the opening livestream. It will be nearly like visiting Sweden, just a little bit less logistics as you’ll get to stay on your sofa.

Helena Granström, author, writer of civilization critique, with degrees in theoretical physics and mathematics, will hold an opening speech. Ebba Bohlin will show her work ‘Loss of Information’, and Gustav Helsing will show the five works of Britta Marakatt-Labba’s featured in the exhibition.

While closed for the public, Gustavsbergs Konsthall will offer different digital events related to the exhibition. For more information, check out their website and social media channels. Nordic Network of Crafts Associations is proud to present this second showing of Earth, Wind, Fire, Water in collaboration with Gustavsberg and @gallerif15_og_momentum. Fingers crossed Gustavsbergs Konsthall can welcome visitors to the exhibition soon!

Curator: Randi Grov Berger (NO). Participating artists: Hildur Bjarnadóttir (IS), Ebba Bohlin (SE), Alma Heikkilä (FI), Karoline Hjorth & Riitta Ikonen (NO/FI), Guðjón Ketilsson (IS), Stian Korntved Ruud (NO), Ivana Králíková (CZ/SE), Britta Marakatt-Labba (Sápmi/SE), Ida Wieth (DK), Hedvig Winge (NO) and Charlotta Östlund (SE/FI)
