Eyes as Big as Plates in residence // New York!

Eyes as Big as Plates’ new headquarters for the next two months will be the Intercourse at 159 Pioneer Street in Redhook. Generously hosted by Recess Session, our studio will be welcoming visitors, participants and curious New Yorkers. On display in the studio will be photographs from Finland and Norway, as well as costumes  and new works in progress. We are currently recruiting models for our upcoming photo shoots in and around the city. Please get in touch if you would like to participate!

Alongside the Recess Session, Riitta Ikonen and I are also taking part in Lower Manhattan Cultural Council‘s residency program ‘Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide’ (SPARC), collaborating with Alison Kuo, Yue Lin and the wonderful people of the City Hall Senior Center.

A very own Eyes as Big as Plates blog has been launched for the occasion, check in for frequent updates throughout the residency!

  1. Dear Ladies, I saw your work on Facebook & I am absolutely in love with it! It’s brilliant. I’m an artist & live in Berlin & your work says so much more about humanity than I have seen in a very very long time. Well done! Wishing you both all the very best & much success, Deborah.

    1. Dear Deborah,

Apologies for our very late response to your lovely message and thank you so much for your warming words! We aren’t the best at checking in to these comments boxes, but it is always such a lovely surprise when we find warming greetings like yours – thank you! We both very much appreciate it and it makes us want to continue our work for years to come!

Very best wishes for a lovely autumn in Berlin,
      Karoline and Riitta.
