People of Dronningens gate – new public art project in Oslo opens tomorrow

In late February, during the coldest week of the year in Oslo, Riitta Ikonen and I spent a frosty week outdoors creating a little sister project to Eyes as Big as Plates titled People of Dronningens gate. In collaboration with nine people who all work in this colourful and historical stretch of Oslo (the Queen’s street) we explored archives, chandeliers, workshops, courtyards and entered many storage cupboards, basements and boardrooms.

We are excited to share the new series of portraits in the exhibition that opens tomorrow at 1 pm as part of a big spring street party. Wander along Dronningens gate, celebrate spring and get to know the street and its stories. Warmest welcome!
