Landskrona Fotofestival 2018 is opening this weekend, boasting over 120 events including exhibitions, artist talks, portfolio reviews, photobook days and workshops. We are proud to present Eyes as Big as Plates outdoors within the landscape of Landskrona and excited to join journalist Jenny Maria Nilsson for an artist talk during the opening weekend 14-16 September.

Selected works from the ongoing series Personals (Billett Merket) can be seen during the first edition of Helsinki Photo Festival, which runs from 5-15th of August.

2018 marks the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, the world’s longest running annual display of contemporary art. Coordinated by Grayson Perry and his committee of fellow artists, over 1,300 artworks have been handpicked for this year’s theme “art made now”.

In late February, during the coldest week of the year in Oslo, Riitta Ikonen and I spent a frosty week outdoors creating a little sister project to Eyes as Big as Plates titled People of Dronningens gate.

We are proud to celebrate our heroes right at their doorstep in the east of Finland and look forward to toasting with you at 2pm on Wednesday the 9th of May at Pielisen Museo aka The Museum of Lieksa.

Eyes as Big as Plates is excited to take part in the two-day event Cuimhne/Memory at Ann Lanntair Arts Center in the Outer Hebrides 23-24 April. I forbindelse med Oslo Open 2018 deltar kunstnere med tilhold i atelierfellesskapet Olaf Ryes Plass 2 (ORP2) i en gruppeutstilling på Atelier Nord ANX, ORP2-utstillingen IV. Samtidig vises videoprogrammet Open Video VIII kuratert av Janne Talstad.
