Rydal Road, Ambleside, Cumbria LA22 9BL, UK.
Here is a little glimpse of Riitta and Karoline’s contribution to the show; from The Lumber Room:
Since 12th January Hallvar, Astrid, Torleif, Paul, Agnes, Marta & Bengt have been hanging out at FINNO. On Saturday they climb down and into their polystyrene and cardboard homes until Eyes as Big as Plates move on to KIASMA in June.
Thanks to everyone who came to see our favourite group of senior supermodels and welcome to those of you who are fashionably late this week!
Things you only do once. Travel to London and back in a day without an assistant to pick up framed exhibition prints. Attempt to move about by foot or public transport in central London with your framed darlings. Attempt to convince airport security that the framed darlings aren’t too big for their x-ray machine. Attempt to stop them from slicing up the boxes and manually check for liquid bomb material hidden in between your darlings. Attempt to help out wrapping them up again. Walk on ice whilst carrying the framed darlings to your flat after a day filled with above-mentioned happenings, especially if your flat is situated on 4th floor.
(The boxes have not yet been opened. But if it all goes as smooth as 06.01.2012, you are all welcome to the exhibition opening of Eyes as Big as Plates at the Finnish-Norwegian Culture Institute, Thursday 12.01.2012)
